Got a long update on the the status of Jag restoration from Marc. The bottom line is they need more time to get the restoration to the highest level. While we hoped to have the car ready for us in late April, however, in reviewing the details and adding some engine and interior work another month or two may be required. The bad news is we are already flying east so we will get to see the progress but not take the car. The good news is that the trip is still on but it will be in the summer. This means we get our choice of routes and may come back by a more northerly route than we had planned. My gut is July.
So more time can be spent on getting the body perfect. Marc brought the car back from the painter now that it is down to metal and can make sure all seams and gaps are perfect. As far as I am concerned it looks fantastic shape in bare metal form — it is going to be amazing.
