1961 Triumph TR4

 

One of the first 300 built, this car was the first year of the TR4 production, which celebrated 50 years last year at Triumph gatherings all over the world.  This car was the project of an avid fan that spent 4 years having the car rebuilt from the ground up.  Almost all of the components are new including the running gear, brake systems, engine, and interior. The body panels were thoroughly cleaned, straightened and repainted.

The car was rebuilt in Virginia and was driven about 1000 miles before the previous owner took ill.  I bought the car from the dealer that the wife had consigned it with in March of 2011 and had it shipped here.

With the car came a folder of all of the receipts and restoration including progress reports etc.  As with all car restorations done by someone in love with the model this one received more attention and investment than it probably deserved.  I am just happy he did it!
